Andrej Romić Rule nr. 1: Anything that comes from Poland kicks ass. So does banisher too. They play a really interestingly sounding experimental-technical black/death metal sound with some slam influences here and there. Totally recommended for everyone to check out. You'll be surprised how great this band actually is. Favorite track: Scarcity.

about

Banisher is a technical death/grind band founded in 2005.
The music on “Scarcity” is a slight change of pace compared to what they’ve done on their previous album “Slaughterhouse”.

The tracks are faster, simpler and more intense, which makes the album an extreme and relentless 30 minutes of death metal in the vein of Cryptopsy, Decapitated, Dillinger Escape Plan or Meshuggah, while maintaining their own personality and originality through groovy
rock’n’roll riffing. The drums warrant particular attention, as they were recorded by Łukasz “Lucass” Krzesiewicz (Gnida, Sammath Naur).

The album also features a guest appearance by Wojtek Famielec (Disperse) on one of the instrumental tracks. The instruments and vocals were mixed and mastered at Invent Sound Studio in Bydgoszcz.
Lyrical themes include several topics: the criticism of contemporary society, its values, the fragility of human mind, various conspiracy theories and unsolved
criminal mysteries.
